Sri “grace/prosperity” Yoga: Venus’ Vara with Bharani, Krittika, Mrigasira, Ardra or Punarvasu forms Sri Yoga.

Yogas that Dispel Difficulties: The combinations of the following Varas and Nakshatras on Tithis other than
Rikta Tithis (4th, 9th, 15th) are powerful for removing difficulties and thus favorable for all benign actions: 1) Sun’s
Vara with Bharani, Uttaraphalguni, Mula, Uttarashadha, Sravana or Revati controls all evil forces even as Lord
Paramasiva does the deadly poison of the Puranas. 2) Moon’s Vara with Rohini, Mrigasira, Punarvasu, Svati or
Sravana kills all evil forces as Garuda does the serpent. 3) Mars’ Vara with Asvini, Rohini, Uttaraphalguni, Hasta,
Anuradha or Uttarabhadrapada subdues all bad influences as Rama did the Rakshasas. 4) Mercury’s Vara with
Krittika, Mrigasira, Purvaphalguni, Uttaraphalguni, Anuradha, Purvashadha, Uttarashadha or Purvabhadrapada also
subdues all bad influences as Rama did the Rakshasas. 5) Jupiter’s Vara with Asvini, Punarvasu, Pushya, Magha or
Svati causes all malefic effects to flee as cotton before the wind. 6) Venus’ Vara with Asvini, Bharani, Mula or
Revati dispels all evil as the Sun dispels darkness. 7) Saturn’s Vara with Krittika, Rohini, Svati or Satabhisha also
dispels all evil as the Sun dispels darkness. These Vara/Nakshatra Yogas are not as favorable for granting success
as the other Vara/Nakshatra Yogas. They are more the removers of difficulty and blemishes than they are the
supporters of success; thus they do not guarantee success if there are no success producing factors present at the
time of performing the event. They do, however, rid the Muhurta of any blemishes and are, therefore, very
advantageous for overcoming the many blemishes that are present at any moment.

Dhana Yogas in Vedic Astrology - Tamil Jothidam Tips

Dhana Yogas: Combinations For Wealth

INTRODUCTION

Maharishi Parashara in BPHS says that the Kendras are specifically the houses of happiness and the Trikonas are the houses of Wealth and Prosperity. This is because Kendras are ruled by Vishnu, the sustainer and Trikonas are governed by Lakshmi, the giver of prosperity. Thus, these houses shall appear prominently in the combinations of wealth. Along with it, 2nd house is the house of accumulated wealth and 11th house is the house of gains or income and thus, these houses are equally important in the matters of wealth.  12th signify the house of loss and its involvement in the combinations show loss of wealth. Lets see what different classics have to say in these matters of wealth:

Bhavartha Ratnakara

If the there’s a parivartana between either the 2nd and 5th lords or the 2nd and 11th lords, the native earns a lot. This is also true for the placement of the 5th and 9th lords in their own houses.
Here the author talks of the association of the lord of wealth (accumulated), i.e., 2nd lord, with either the 5th house (Trine) or the 11th house (gains), the native earns a lot of money. This to note here that while 9th house shows past, the 5th house shows future. Since the author talks of involvement of the 5th lord, the native shall "Earn" the wealth with his own effort and not inherit from his Father (lineage), as signified by the 9th house. In the subsequent line, the author speaks of the strength of the 5th and 9th houses, the key houses of blessings of Lakshmi.

If the lords of 2nd and 11th are associated with lords of the 5th and 9th, dhana yoga results.
Here the author, reiterates the same concept, just to give emphasis on the association of the houses of wealth and gains with the houses representing the blessings of Lakshmi. Various combinations can be possible by the association with the 2nd and 11th lord with 5th and 9th house. However, in my humble opinion, association of 2nd lord with 5th and 9th lords or houses are more important that 11th lords association with the 5th and 9th lords (the houses are given lower priority), in bestowing wealth to the native.

If the said planets (2nd and 11th)are associated with lords other than the 5th and 9th, no dhana yoga results; however, the native does enjoy moderate wealth.
This statement is particularly important, as this states that in the absence of any dhana yoga, the person would not suffer penury and shall have riches based on the inherent strength of the 2nd, 11th, 5th and 9th houses. The person shall have moderate wealth and can make a comfortable living out of it as long as there is no association of the houses of wealth with "BAD" houses (which we shall discuss in the combinations for penury).

There’ll be loss of wealth if the 12th lord associates with the 2nd and 11th lords.
12th is the house of losses and association of the 12th lord (vyayesha) with the lords of the 2nd and 11th lords, shall cause loss of wealth. However, this cannot be interpreted as lack of wealth. This can be interpreted as the native shall earn wealth based on the association of the lords of the houses of wealth (2nd and 11th) with the houses of blessings of lakshmi (5th and 9th) or their inherent strength, however, the native has to face losses on unexpected ventures as indicated by the 12th house or 12th lord.

It’s always fortunate for Jupiter to associate with the 2nd lord and Mercury.
Here the author brings in the influence of the Karaka for wealth, Jupiter. It is known that if the karaka of a house is well placed of associate with the lord of the house of aspect the house, then that particular significations of the house is enhanced. If Jupiter associate (conjunct, aspect, have exachange) with the 2nd lord (11th lord is left out, as accumulated wealth is under focus), the native is fortunate and can have good bank balance. Why Mercury is brought into picture is yet to be understood!

If the 1st, 2nd and 11th lords are in their own houses, a dhana yoga is formed
In the first stanza, the author talked of the stength of the 5th and 9th lords/ houses, whereby here he talks of the strength of the trine which was left out, i.e., the Lagna and the lord/ houses of wealth and gain. The purpose of seggregating these into two different places can be priority which the author gives for the strength of the combination to bestow wealth. In my humble opinion, the exaltation and other strengths (sthana bala in shadbala scheme) of the said lords shall also noteworthy to be studied in the context of Dhana Yogas.

If the 2nd and 11th lords are in the lagna, a powerful dhana yoga results
While in previous stanzas, the author speaks of the association of the 2nd and 11th lords with the trinal lords, namely 5th and 9th; in this stanza, he mentions the placement of the lords of wealth and gain together in the Lagna can also bestow a powerful dhanayoga. In my humble opinion, the combination can be extended to placement of the 2nd and 11th lord in 5th and 9th too. If one of the two of the 2nd and 11th lords are placed in the trine, then the combination is proportionately weakened. The placement of 5th or 9th lord in the houses of wealth and income, however has lesser consequences on the matters of wealth.

What is Raja yoga in Vedic Astrology - Tamil Jothidam Tips

What does Raj Yoga in Birth Chart Signify?
Astrology says that Raj yoga is a yoga which provides the fortune of a king to the native who has this yoga in his kundli (birth chart). Every person wants a happy life but happiness is not in everyone’s fate in equal amount. A person’s joy and sorrow can be assessed determined by the positions of planets and yogas in his or her kundli.
The term ‘Raj Yoga’ has two parts viz. Raj and Yoga. Raj yoga in astrological terminology means that a yoga which provides happiness like a king has. In this article we will discuss what Raj yoga is and what it gives a native.
Raj Yoga
Raj yoga is not a very special yoga. Raj yoga is formed by the combination of auspicious planets in a kundli. To judge the planet according to the Ascendant it is required to observe the auspiciousness and inauspiciousness of planets, significator, insignificator, prime significator of combining planets.
Besides these the natural auspiciousness or inauspiciousness of planets should also be taken in to consideration. For Raj yoga exalted planets are required in Kendra house, exalted Venus in the fate line, and relationships between navamsha and dashamsha is vital.
Planet in debilitated sign do not mean that they will provide malefic result as the lord of the seventh house will aspect the same house if a planet is stationed in a debilitated sign. The result of this development will also depend on the relationships of other planets.
Raj yoga is not formed by any special planet in a kundli but all planets are equally responsible for its formation. Astrology says that Moon in its various placements has a huge impact upon the yoga. A debilitated Moon can become a barrier for a planet combination that provides positive results.
If the triangle or Kendra houses have the aspect of Venus or Jupiter then Raj yoga gives its full results, and the native gets happiness which can be compared with the happiness of a king.
Thus it is observed that there are a number of combinations of Raj Yoga with various degrees of results. It is not a good idea to assume that just the existence of this Yoga in the kundali will make the person like a king. There are many other positive and negative factors that can play a role in how the person’s lifestyle will be.
Various types of Raj Yoga in a kundli.
Vipreet Raj Yoga
A vipreet rajyoga is formed if the lord of the Trikha house is in the Trikha house or is in the position of making combination or aspect any situation. For example if the lord of the eighth house is in the byaya house or in the sixth house and if the lord of the sixth house is in the eighth house, if the lord of the byaya house is in the sixth or eighth house then the aspect combination of the lords of the trikha house or a good relationship between them is said to be an excellent yoga which gives immense joy and prosperity to the native. The native is blessed with king sized happiness. Astrology considers that inauspicious planets lose their malefic nature if they are in inauspicious house.
Kendra Trikon Raj yoga
When a kundli has the combination of the Ascendant with the lord of the Kendra or triangle house then this Raj yoga is formed. In the Kendra and triangle houses goddess Laxmi is the epitome of triangle and god Vishnu is the epitome of the Kendra house. This yoga provides an amazing fortune to its native. This Raj yoga gives wealth, fame and prosperity to the native.
Neechbhang Raj Yoga
When in a kundli a sign has debilitated planet and its house has the lord of the sign in an exalted sign or its position is in Kendra from the ascendant house then in this circumstance this Raj Yoga is formed. As for instance if a debilitated Jupiter is in the Capricorn sign but there is an exalted Saturn as the lord of the Capricorn then it is broken and therefore called Neechbhang Raj Yoga.
Rajya Poojit Raj Yoga
This Raj Yoga is usually seen in female. If a lady has this Raj yoga in her kundli then it means her husband will be a respected and affluent person in the society. This yoga is formed during her birth time when the seventh house is occupied by auspicious planet, equally auspicious planet, planet related with auspicious planet or if any auspicious planet aspect the seventh house.
